Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Events Purchased Through Website  

Cancellation by Participant:  Due to the planning and commitment undertaken to put classes on, please double check you are free on the day you wish to book.  If, however, you need to cancel for any reason, please do get in touch. We may be able to reschedule.

Our terms for refunds are:

  • Participants who wish to cancel their attendance must notify us at least 2 days prior to the event date.
  • Cancellations made within 2 days of the event will result in a 50% cancellation fee.
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 1 day of the event.

Event Cancellation by The Sewing Hub:

  • In the event of cancellation by The Sewing Hub, participants will receive a full refund.

2. Studio/Machinery Hire

Cancellation by Client:

  • Clients who wish to cancel a venue booking must provide written notice at least 7 days prior to the scheduled event date. Please note the deposit paid is  non-refundable as by booking you may have prevented any co-working opportunities for others on that day. 
  • Cancellations made with less than 7 days notice of the event will result in a 20% cancellation fee.

Event Cancellation by The Sewing Hub:

  • In the unlikely event that The Sewing Hub needs to cancel a venue booking, clients will receive a full refund.

3. Alterations Services

Cancellation by Client:

  • We ask that clients who wish to cancel an alteration service let us know at least 3 days prior to the scheduled appointment as a no-show, especially out of hours, is often very inconvenient.
  • Should you wish to cancel an appointment for a fitting within 3 days of the appointment, this will result in a 20% cancellation fee charged against the cost of completing your alterations, unless exceptional circumstances apply.
  • Should you not wish to go ahead with alterations as discussed once you have been fitted and left your garment with us, then an hourly rate will be charged to you prior to you being able to take your garment away again.  This is to cover the cost of time spent fitting you.

Cancellation by The Sewing Hub:

  • The Sewing Hub reserves the right to cancel an alteration appointment due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, clients will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time as soon as possible.

Unsatisfactory Service:  We take great pride in our work and wish our customers to be entirely happy with our services.  If you have some doubts when you are being fitted, please do say so at the time and we will do our utmost to complete your alterations to your satisfaction. 

  • If, however, after the completion of the alteration service, a client decides they are unhappy with the result, they must notify The Sewing Hub within 2 days of receiving the altered item.
  • The Sewing Hub will make reasonable efforts to address and rectify any issues raised by the client.
  • In the event that a satisfactory resolution cannot be reached, The Sewing Hub may offer a partial refund or alternative resolution at its discretion.

General Notes:

  • All alteration-related concerns must be communicated in writing to hello@sewinghub.co.uk 
  • Refunds for an unsatisfactory service will be processed within 2 business days of reaching a resolution.
  • The Sewing Hub is committed to ensuring client satisfaction and will work diligently to address any concerns related to the alteration services.

4. Co-Working Spaces

Cancellation by Client:

  • Clients who wish to cancel a studio/co-working space reservation must provide written notice at least 7 days prior to the start date. Please note the deposit paid is  non-refundable as by booking you may have prevented any co-working opportunities for others on that day. 
  • Cancellations made with less than 7 days notice of the start date will result in a 20% cancellation fee.
  • Full payment will be taken on arrival at the studio and no refunds will be issued for cancellations made during your session.

Cancellation by The Sewing Hub:

  • The Sewing Hub reserves the right to cancel a co-working space reservation in exceptional circumstances. Clients will receive a full refund in such cases and we will endeavour to reschedule your session as soon as it’s mutually convenient. 

General Notes:

  • All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to hello@sewinghub.co.uk
  • Refunds will be processed within 2 business days of receiving a valid cancellation request.
  • The Sewing Hub reserves the right to amend this refund/cancellation policy at its discretion.
